MRE's and peanut butter

According to an email message going around, dated Feb. 5, 2009, from William A. (Bill) Hicks, Fire Program Coordinator, of GSA Global Supply:

"In case the question comes up - The DLA MRE's are not affected by any of the peanut butter recalls. I verified this fact with the DLA Food Safety Office."
