Lance Armstrong's bike stolen

Lance Armstrong Twittered a few hours ago that someone broke into his team's truck and stole his time trial bike and three others out of their Ryder rental truck that was parked in an alley behind their Residence Inn motel. He posted the above picture on Twitter, saying "APB out to the twitterati".

His team is in Sacramento, Calif. for the Amgen Tour of California, the first race he has entered on U.S. soil in 3 1/2 in years. He has a backup bike for the time trials, thankfully, and a reward is being offered.

The bike is a one-of-a-kind, so it's going to be difficult to pawn. What in the world would someone do with a bike like that.... steal secrets for another team?

In Saturday's "Prolog", Armstrong finished 10th in the field of 136 riders.

Stage 1 of the race from Davis to Santa Rosa will be on TV today, Sunday, at 3:00 p.m. California time on the Versus channel.
