New poll: wildfire movies

The Best Wildland Fire Movie

In honor of the Academy awards coming up on February 22, we are conducting a poll to determine the best movie of all time in which wildland fire was a major part of the plot. The poll is on the right side of this page.

Here are the nominees:
  1. Always (1989)
  2. Firestorm (1998)
  3. Firestorm: Last Stand at Yellowstone (TV) (2006)
  4. Red Skies of Montana (1952)
  5. None of them; they all suck
The poll will close at midnight following the Academy Awards on February 22.

It's almost insulting to have "Red Skies" considered in the same poll as "Firestorm": one of the very best ever, Red Skies is still used in Annual Refresher classes to teach some important points. "Firestorm" is also used, mostly for comic relief!
